According to these rumors Undead Labs would be committed to improving the package and adding some new features. According to the assumed State of Decay 2 could be a fully online where players must help each other to survive.

The first State of Decay, released in 2013 on the Xbox 360, has been quite successful in sales earning a remastered version released on Xbox One and called State of Decay: Survival Edition .
