Infinity Ward has released some new information on recently announced Call of Duty: Endless Warfare ; the developers explained that, unlike what is seen in Black Ops III , the new title will be playable only on single while the cooperative shall be limited to the zombie mode.

As for the game environments, Infinity has later clarified that the whole story will take place within the confines of the solar system and will involve both on Earth and on space stations, asteroids and other environments, including some in zero gravity. Here we will fight only other humans, without introducing any kind of alien life form. Futuristic weapons, though, will still be mainly ballistic type, which is based on the bullets, so from this point of view will be limited more typically sci-fi weapons like plasma, laser guns and the like. All this because you still want to keep the feeling of a classic Call of Duty .

The protagonist, Lieutenant Reyes, will become captain at the beginning of the story and this will involve for him large makers; developers explain that this will be very different from previous ones. About the presence of side quests already mentioned in recent days, the developers have finally explained that these will not change however the story and then all players will experience the same story from start to finish.
