Homefront: The Revolution plunges us into an alternate reality where North Korea has "invaded peacefully" with the us, but how was that possible? An important role in this was played by Korean tech company which has literally colonized APEX, the States starting first with simple computers and Smartphones, then switched to the manufacture and sale of weapons and military devices.

When the USA you are dangerously approached the financial collapse due to a large amount of debt, the North Korea has pretty much bought the Government acquiring all outstanding debts, after which the APEX--whose CEO also became the Premier of North Korea-has disabled remotely all installations of war they had sold to the United States to allow a non-invasion of the country to meet the least resistance possible.
