Iron Galaxy announced the development of a new single player mode for Killer Instinct: Season 3 , entitled "Lords of shadows (Shadow Lords) . The new mode will be released in the future and we will choose a team of fighters to repel the invasion of Earth by Gargos.

Developers explain that the new mode can be replayed "indefinitely" and that includes within it a mix of genres: " hand rankings, part arcade mode, part story mode and part roguelike, combined into a unique experience ." How will also gradually arriving new characters in the game.
