A survey of EA suggests to us the story behind Mass Effect: Andromeda
The survey asks the opinions of fans on the basic concept of the game, described as follows:
" Mass Effect: Andromeda takes players in the Galaxy Andromeda, well outside the milky way, where these will lead the fight for a new home in a hostile territory-where we are the aliens--hampered by a deadly indigenous alien race determined to stop us. Experience the freedom to sail and explore a Galaxy open-world full of planets but unbroken, full of opportunities for discovery. Interpreted the leader of a team of explorers trained militarily in an intense third person shooter, with deep advance options and customization of characters. This is the story of the next chapter of humanity, and the choices of the players throughout the game will determine our survival in the Galaxy Andromeda. "
So it seems that, unlike the original trilogy seeing explore a Galaxy known albeit populated by unknown threats, Mass Effect: Andromeda will see us exploring planets completely unknown coming into contact with hostile alien races and never before seen: humanity is looking for a new home, but from the point of view of the inhabitants of those planets we would be seen as invaders. A very interesting point of view, controversial and topical too (be in search of a new home allows us to bring the war home of an alien species, no matter how violent it can be?), which we are confident will lead to discussions and hope to be treated with the right maturity by the writers of the game.
Interesting to finally see how the survey describes the title as an RPG but as a third person shooter, albeit with strong character advancement and customization options and choices can change the course of history.
Obviously, for now there are no official announcements regarding and the poll could be purely "exploratory", not representative of the final game, but at this point in development and with the official revelation is now at hand, is certainly very probable. We just have to wait until E3 in June to learn more.
