Mirror's Edge Catalyst: there will be a character advancement system, other details

After finally Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was revealed during E3 2015, Sarah Jansson , producer of the game, has released some information and details about the mechanics that we find in the title, such as the progression of Faith and of unlocking new areas of the city.

Here are all information:

  • There will be a real character progression system: the Faith that we will know at the start of the adventure will be very different from what we will see at the end.
  • The atmosphere of the city will change during the course of history. Faith initially will be an inexperienced runner, but throughout history will adapt to various changes being worth fighting.
  • The city will be much more open and free of the first game.
  • As you go back in history, other areas of the city will be open. You will start with a small area to explore.
  • HE SAYS he wants to make the game more accessible, but will take account of those who prefer a more challenging experience.
  • If you are wrong, you can jump onto the ledges instead of falling into the void: this will avoid the frustration of having to start a section often after being dead. But if you are disabled and you will not fail the jumps, the race is far more fluid and it will be faster.
  • This time you can jump from any object, while in the first chapter it was possible to use only those specially marked.
  • The game will explain the origins of Faith, but it won't be a true prequel of the first Mirror's Edge . Sarah Jansson stated that the game will be more a revival of the character, rather than a real link with the first chapter.

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is coming the Xbox on February 23, 2016 One PlayStation [/play] 4 [play] .
