In recent days some journalists who had got to try a preview of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain had reported the fact that, at specific points in the game, it seemed that the title was trying to access the online store to offer paid content; test consoles were then left offline and only a mistake, but it was enough to indicate that the game contained a microtransactions system.

Today is the same page of the game on the PlayStation Store to suggest the same hypothesis: the description of the title shows in fact the phrase " Purchases in-game options ", indicating precisely the opportunity from within the game to purchase additional items. It could also be just simple DLC, but since the previous suspicion about the presence of microtransactions, it jumps to the eye.

For now there is still nothing certain, so you should take these entries with the benefit of the doubt: we are waiting for official clarifications from Konami.
