Rumor: incoming review Xbox controller One, adds a standard audio jack
Clearly may not be so: the image may simply mean " we prepare our controller to the wave of games that will be announced at E3 ", but the thing joins an interesting just emerged from the information page for the controller on the Xbox site in the us.
As you can see yourself, in fact, in the pictures of the controller was added near the standard expansion port used for headset (shown in the diagram with the number 9), a new port indicated by the number 16. And the description of that port reveals:
" Leads from 3.5-mm. Used to connect audio devices compatible 3.5-mm. Only available on the controllers issued after June 2015 . "
This makes us understand that in June, probably will be announced at E3, a revision of the controller that will introduce at least the novelty standard audio jack, allowing the use of headset for PC or Smartphones without the need to use the appropriate adapter (obviously this will bring with it the downside of not being able to adjust voice and microphone audio directly from the controller What possible only with the power adapter). Obviously remain usable standard adapter: it is just an addition that complements to it.
We don't know yet if this is the only noviità of the new version of controller or there will be other final touches: for example, would be handy to have a dedicated button to "snap menu" to be pressed instead of double-click on Xbox button. Of course for all the news continue to follow us, especially during E3!
