It was conceivable, now comes confirmation that the images circulated yesterday by the alleged Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are forgeries. Or rather, not related to the Edition for Xbox One but the first Gears of War PC Edition, rendered at 4 k resolution and then scaled to smaller size.

The images were originally published Sunday by a user of the French site Gamekyo, after which they started making the rounds of the web; the same author has however admitted directly to Twitter image author who wanted clarification on Twitter "glitch":

It seems that for now there is still nothing to see on the hypothetical remaster of GoW. We look forward to E3 for any news!
