The Director and producer of the Castlevania series Koji Igarashi has launched a Kickstarter campaign to develop Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night , spiritual successor of the famous series from Konami. alongside Igarashi will be the composer Michiru Yamane while the main game development will be taken care of by Inti Creates (formerly creators of Mighty No. 9 together with Keiji Inafune). The title, in development for Xbox One , looks like an action-side-scrolling platformer with high definition graphics features RPG elements and crafting.

At the time of this writing, the crowdfunding campaign has reached almost $ 500,000 goal without mentioning to stop; to reach about 700,000 dollars will be added to the game a second playable character besides the protagonist, the Miriam swordmaster, while the goal of 800,000 dollars will be also available on the highest difficulty level, Nightmare .
