We already knew that 2 k and Turtle Rock Studios would soon release a new monster to Evolve , the Behemoth: today the Publisher announces that the creature will arrive with a DLC on March 31, and will be accompanied by four new playable characters and the already announced new maps and observer mode . We're going to analyze everything we have.

Characters

The four characters that will be added to those already present are Torvald (onslaught), Crow (Trapper), Slim (doctor), and Sunny (support); each of these new characters will be equipped with new skills and new equipment for the team of hunters. These will be free for Season Pass holders of the game; for all other can be purchased at the price of $ 7.49 (about 7 €) each. The following detailed descriptions:

TORVALD (ASSAULT)

" I CROSSED THE DEEP SPACE TO FIND YOU, BEAST! ARE YOUR DEATH! " – TORVALD

The rancor of Torvald to monsters has deep roots. Although both survived an attack of the monsters, by Torvald remained little. Rebuilt as a kind of half-human, tank Torvald is now returning on Shear to accomplish his revenge. In addition to the cybernetic implants, now comes with a mortar cannon mounted on the back. Although deadly from long range, Torvald also excels in close combat. After holding the target weak points with a grenade shrapnel, Torvald can download gusts from his automatic rifle and inflict serious damage ins.

TRS Board: Torvald mortar cannon is obviously good to inflict damage at long range, but can also be used in close combat. Use it in combination with the shrapnel grenade to destroy the monster.

CROW (TRAPPER)

" THESE THINGS ARE TOUGH. WHO KNOWS WHAT FLAVOR THEY HAVE. " – CROW

Crow is a solitary type. He had retired in an area not colonized by Shear to be left in peace until they arrived the monsters to ruin everything. Crow knows very well the planet and this makes it a perfect trapper. He and his mantastrello tamed, Gobi, it rid us of the monsters, a dome at a time. With an order over an area in front of Gobi hunters and allows them to "see" the creatures nearby. Gobi covers a distance of about two hundred meters in a straight line and then returns from his master. Stasis gun Crow has two modes of fire: the rapid fire slows the Monster for a short time, while a blow loaded it slows down for a longer period of time. And then there's the kinetic rifle. The rapid-fire mode causes much damage per second, but a loaded shot penetrates the armor of the monster and cause damage to your health: sneaky and fierce, perfect for Crow.

TRS Board: post Gobi in patrolling often, even inside a dome, to always know where is the monster. In addition, most loaded gun shots of stasis: the monster rallenterai longer than the individual shots bursts.

SLIM (DOCTOR)

" YOU HAVE TOO MUCH HEALTH, GOLIATH! DAMMENE AWHILE! " – SLIM

Previously he was a human being, but now is the result of a war of the forgotten past. His DNA was altered so much that he even assumed the shape of an insect. The unique abilities of Slim is designed to annoy the monster and keep the other hunters. Its main weapon, the leech gun, steal your opponent's energy and reloads the download curative, characterized by a wider RADIUS than the other hunters of the Medical Class. The healing of Slim drone moves quickly on the battlefield to heal teammates gradually, but returns immediately from his master as soon as it is under attack. For sure the monster can't attack what you can't see, so the Sporethrower is used to hide the smell of hunters, allowing you to approach him when he has a chance.

TRS Board: often used the leech gun, even when you don't see any target. The leech gun allows Slim to reload the download, then more gunshots healing as quickly as it recharges.

SUNNY (SUPPORT)

" HURRAH! We did it! LEST ANYONE BELIEVE ME? ARE YOU A TROUBLEMAKER. " – SUNNY

Sunny knew Abe and Parnell even before arriving on Shear (in fact, Sunny was one of four initial hunters when Evolve was still under development). Now, this engineer and test pilot, and incurable optimist, is racing to the aid of his old comrades. Playing the role of Sunny can defend the hunters with shield drones, which protect neighboring allies from enemy shots. It can also ensure a quick escape thanks to his jetpack enhancer, which does cover the hunters greater distances faster and without consuming fuel, provided that they are within reach. But this does not mean that Sunny is not capable of hurting foes: a single microatomiche grenade explosion can cause more damage than any other weapon open to challenge in the game.

TRS Board: enhance your jetpack companions under attack, so they can remove the hook as fast as possible. Finally, if you're chasing the monster, enhances the jetpack of trapper, who will then be able to keep up the monster and trap him in the portable dome.

Maps

The two maps are instead of Mine and Broken Hill Broken Hill smelter , already described in our previous news . The two maps will be accessible to all players for free and will arrive in temporary preview Xbox One.

The Behemoth

With this add-on, disembark finally on the battlefield the largest mammoth monster of the game: the Behemoth! The monster is 6.4 meters tall and has a width (open arms) no less than 15.24 metres, which could grab 33 hunters close to each other. Are you sure volervo's challenge with a few shotgun? For sure you won't have an easy time!  The Behemoth is obtainable free of charge on those who have preordered the game, as it is part of the Monster Expansion Pack ; for all other players, will be sold at a price of $ 14.99 (approx. euro 14.00).
