Crackdown 3: exciting new information about "cloud engine" at the base of the game

It is now known that 3 Crackdown , the new title of the series open-world in exclusive development Xbox One, will take advantage of the potential of the Xbox heavily Cloud to tile the CPU of the console with additional processing that take care of physics, dynamic destruction and other features of the game. Today we discover a bit more about it thanks to the intervention on the NeoGAF forums known by one of the developers of the game.

The user, known by the nickname of Kampfheld , is one of Cloudgine engineers, the development studio that is creating the Cloudgine Engine, the first cloud-based gaming that will be used both in Crackdown 3 than in other future titles.

Kampfheld intervened, explaining that the offline console does not have enough power to run the engine Cloudgine, reiterating how Crackdown 3 will be a game completely online. The developer has also explained that, although the many speeches on cloud computing may seem extremely evanescent due to lack of real titles that take advantage of the potential, this is actually a really good technology, and that soon we may see the first fruits. We present below his statements:

" It is well known that the new Crackdown will be heavily supported by the cloud. Already already already ... those stupid speeches on the cloud that you can no longer hear. What I want to tell you, though, is this: your local machine does not have enough processing power to run our engine. It's one thing we've always tried to pass and I think there is no reason not to be honest in this regard. If you are doing something that has never been done before and with such breadth, then you can't compromise. We are fully aware that there are large risks at stake, but this is the way we have chosen. We are super confident of our choices, and we can't wait to be able to come out with our work.

Personally, I can understand that there are great doubts about it. I'm not an idiot: too many games have missed something or hurt someone release of its aspects. People want to see how cloud computing can be used in games, then at least give us a chance to show it. I believe that is correct against us.

I repeat-I would like to personally see you play this title and really thinking "oh crap, how come my console isn't already in flames?". This is the result we want to achieve, and we are working hard to achieve it. "

Kampfheld has also explained that he would like to show a small tech-demo Cloudgine engine capacity in the next few weeks, so we hope to see soon something more concrete.
