343: upgrading 20 GB Halo: TMCC contains material that is not entered in the disc
Frank O'Connor, Director of franchise development 343, wanted to clarify on the NeoGAF forums via a post that the famous 20 GB are nothing more than the main game content, pointing out that it is not absolutely a corrective patch.
" There is a patch, but the actual game content. The game was designed to be used on a disk only, making sure that the end user does not need to change every time the disk to play to our title. We want to offer the best gaming experience possible. I realize that may be irritating to some people and I understand, then I apologize and hope that the final content of our product justifies the inconvenience. "
However, all campaigns of all chapter of Halo can be played with the base disk, without the need to apply the abovementioned "update": the game will begin to be playable by before completing the download, and the update will contain mainly multiplayer maps and material textures, giving players a chance to start playing at four campaigns without having to wait for the completion of the download.
And you, you'd rather have the whole game its two disks, or you would have chosen "the optimal gaming experience" with 20 GB of content? Knowing the current network infrastructure situation in Italy, we are sure that many of you would have preferred the more "simple" of the two discs, maybe with the option to no longer insert the second once installed. To you the word.
As always, we remind you that The Master Chief Halo Collection will come the November 11 on Xbox One.
