Activision announced the development by WayForward Technologies of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze , a new title devoted to the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles that will serve as a bridge between Season 2 and season 3 of the popular TV series. The game, expected by the end of the year on Xbox 360 , will feature a game structure typically metroidvania : we will therefore have to do with a 2D scrolling action game (but with 3D characters and scenes) into a huge open world between New York and the X dimension, freely explorable with unlockable areas as they acquire new powers, skills and equipment.

The Publisher describes the plot of the game: " the game gets hot right away as soon as Shredder, Tiger Claw and a new Mutant army, sow terror on the streets of New York, forcing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to take control of the situation in their hands. "

During the game we can go at any time to one of the four turtles, with the possibility to take advantage of the unique features in order to proceed into the adventure; of course the combat system will be a key part of the game, featuring " combo attack, counter-attack and final shots " but also more stealth sections.
