Microsoft announces the arrival of a terrestrial digital TV tuner for Xbox One
To receive your TV signal, the tuner will be connected to your antenna cable, which will then disappear from TV (unless you equip yourself with a splitter that will allow you to send it to both device). This will allow those who will use them to enable several features:
- Receive notifications and invitations while watching TV
- Play with the image side-by-side TV sideways in miniature
- To pause and restart programs, thus enabling classic DVR functions
- Use the OneGuide App to view the complete list of TV shows, favorite programs and set quickly change channel
- Change channels using voice commands with Kinect
- Use OneGuide and change channels through SmartGlass
The device, which you can see in the picture below, will allow access only to Freeview, then won't support subscription cards of different operators; but the price is definitely content to 29.99 Euros , so it might be interesting for those who want to exploit the full potential of the Xbox One knowing, however, that you must have on your console even when you want to see only the TV.
Of course, if you decide to buy your receiver and you don't want to use the voice controls, SmartGlass or the standard controllers to change channels (you must whilst also thinking to mothers, grandmothers and wives!) the best accessory along to everything is the Xbox remote control One, already on the market .
