DOOM was announced at QuakeCon: first details

As we had already informed in our previous news , Bethesda Softworks has finally lifted the veil to DOOM though showing it behind closed doors. The game will be called simply "DOOM", precisely because it harks back to the origins of the old game released 20 years ago and will represent a kind of reboot for the series. As for the technical sector, the game will turn on the new engine id Tech 6 and will enjoy a 1080 p resolution with 60 frames per second.

The game puts us on a research center located on the planet Mars, where it will begin our adventure. There will be a wide variety of enemies that appear on the screen, thus ensuring a wide action scene, characterised above all by the style of play " run and shoot" . There will be neither cover nor health systems: health self-healing will be released from slain enemies to entice the player to adopt a more frenetic style of play possible.

We then intrufolarci in a cramped excavation on the planet, and to do that the player will be forced to literally rip the arm to a guard to insert it in a scanner that recognizes the fingerprint. Once inside, we will have to face in the excavation a considerable number of opponents, destreggiandoci between pure action and continuous melee kills. The demo shown at Quakecon, finally ending with the revelation of the horned demon that we had already seen in the teaser .

DOOM is expected on Xbox One , with a release date has not yet been established; we will communicate as soon as we know.
