The magic fought a tough battle against the Dark Threat

In the dreary world of Risen the last 3 Mages and their faithful Guardians face a dark threat. Once, when constituted a proud elite order, the wizards were highly respected counsellors of Kings. Now they are persecuted by the Inquisition and outlaws lead a secluded life on the island of thunder of Taranis. As the hero of Risen 3, the player can join the Guild of Guardians to protect, sustain the wizards and learn all the powerful spells of "magic crystal".

The wizards are an old ring of essays that explore the mysterious secrets of magic. Exiled to a large monastery in the mountains of Taranis, continue their experiments to create weapons capable of defeating the Titans and put an end to this eternal threat. Not being of the Warriors, have recruited a private army of soldiers selected as their faithful Guardians. The guardians are a glorious Guild and an indispensable support for the plans of their Lords.
