More details on Halo: The Master Chief Collection

After the announcement of Halo: The Master Chief Collection , here are now more details on how the collection is structured. First of all the campaigns: in the game we will propose the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary as it was on Xbox 360, with the ability to switch between old and new "graphics", and Halo 2: Anniversary remastered "graphics" for Xbox one and again with the possibility to navigate in real time to the original graphics of the game. We also propose new cut-scenes in CG created by Blur Studio, creators of beautiful cut-scenes of Halo Wars. As if that weren't enough, we also new H2A skulls and terminals which we narrate parts of history that will be the prologue to Halo 5: Guardians .

Halo 3 and 4 instead will come with the same graphics that had on Xbox 360, but with an increase in resolution and frame-rate: all four games it will be showing off 1080 p graphics and constant 60 fps. And every single game will maintain its set of goals, for a total of 4000 points guadagnabili.

An interesting thing, however, is the way all this is put together: the four games will be playable individually, but will also become part of a single amalgam. All missions are unlocked from the start, making us can choose which play at any time and there will be some "setlist" created by 343, compilation of theme missions. For example will be the one that allows us to play one after the other all the missions of the four finals games, or the one that offers us only missions based on the Warthog and so on.

We come now to the multiplayer: Unlike what was believed previously, will not only play the Halo 2 but will be present on all four multiplayer games. And unlike Halo CE Anniversary, there was basically the Halo: Reach multiplayer maps from the first game, here each title preserves its original multiplayer with the same gameplay mechanics, and Physics mode. In this way we will be able to play multiplayer in Halo CE exactly as it was 12 years ago, to Halo 2 just as it appeared 10 years ago and thus also for the other two games.

And also to multiplayer will be applied the logic of "merger" already described for the various campaigns: rather than choose the game and enter the multiplayer, we have in fact playlists that will offer a collection of maps and four game modes, allowing us to move seamlessly from one to the other. Obviously those who prefer to play only in Halo 2 you can find a playlist for that game, while those who prefer a more varied experience will range between different games. The ranking system will be unified, but it remains unclear for now how it will work.

For now; We hope to be able to show more of the game during E3.
