Rumor: Blizzard is working on a multiplayer shooter for consoles

Blizzard has recently opened a series of jobs for a mysterious new title currently being worked on. Previously it was known that this game was entrusted to Michael Booth, former founder of Turtle Rock and Left 4 Dead Designer, but you do not know the nature of the game, nor the development platforms.

Now thanks to a series of job listings posted by the developer, we discover that the project is devoted to consoles, such as the search for a Senior Software Engineer dedicated to developing a console game. From various announcements also sense that this may be a multiplayer-only title, since there are several listings where you can find designers of multiplayer maps but there is none for looking for experienced staff in creating single-player campaigns.

Ads also deduce that this will be a first-or third-person: the team has an artist devoted solely to the design of firearms, which makes us understand how these will have an important part in the gameplay.

Seeing who is overseeing the project, it is possible that a few multiplayer shooter with strong co-op component, the Left 4 Dead or Evolves, set in one of the Blizzard narrative worlds: what you would pay more for a title like this is probably Starcraft.

E3 is close, but it is said that the announcement of the game can take place in this venue: it seems still in the embryonic stage and Blizzard/Activision might want to wait before an announcement. We can only wait.
