Namco Bandai has posted a few hours financial results about Dark Souls II , announcing that from the day of issue until the end of March, the title has already sold a total of 1.2 million copies on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, distributed between the markets of North America and Europe. The period considered is that between the date of release of the game (the March 11 in America and 14 March in Europe) and the end of the financial year analysed, ended last March 31. This means that the following sales figures relate to average 3 weeks of marketing.

Doing a direct comparison with its predecessor, let us recall that the first Dark Souls has sold about 1.5 million units a month from release, totaling up to 2.4 million today copies distributed on consoles and PC.
