The new Call of Duty will be announced Sunday, first screenshots
The message is therefore clear: Sunday 4 may at 19:00 Italian time (the countdown if opened by us points to 10:00 in the morning, but is intended for U.S. users in the Pacific, 9 hours behind us), the new Call of Duty by Sledgehammer Games will finally be revealed publicly.
The Publisher has also spread on social networks an image (below) that, in addition to confirm the appointment on Sunday, shows us the background on the Golden Gate Bridge on San Francisco Bay, which is likely to be the scene of one of the missions of the game, maybe even a trailer that will be shown Sunday. The countdown site contains also a clue to the possible underlying theme of the game: in the code are hidden links to sites ( one , two and three ) about private military and militias of the infamous BlackWater, known for having committed atrocious crimes during the war in Iraq. It is therefore possible that the game's plot will revolve around these private militias.
While we wrote this news, Game Informer also announced that the cover of the next issue of the magazine will be dedicated to the new game, releasing the first official screenshots of the game, if you exclude the previous image which was not properly considered a screenshot but more anticipatory detail. The image shows two soldiers in overalls/futuristic, exoskeletons and the screenshot name is "Blacksmith", which some believe to be the code name, or even the final one, of the new game. In addition the soldier in the foreground colour recalls the actor Idris Elba, which could then be involved in the game. The image below.
We then meet Sunday for the official announcement, and the coming days should emerge more details and rumors about.
