Rumor: The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will have a huge map, 3.5 times that of Skyrim
Developers refer to two main areas of the game. The first is the city of Novigrad, which will measure 8.5 x 8.5 km respectively for a total of 72.25 km2, while the area of Skillege will cover the extension of 8 x 8 km for a combined total of 64 square kilometres. The sum corresponds to 136.25 km2, 52 square miles in American sizes.
To make a comparison, The Elder Scrolls v: Skyrim measuring 14.8 square miles, then those two play areas make it understand that the title will be 3.5 times wider. The figure is definitely reflect, as developers had previously stated that the game map was only 20% larger than the title Bethesda.
Expect further clarification at this point by CD Projekt to understand if actually the map will have all this vastness of exploration that us gamers don't mind definitely.
