After it came the official statement from Microsoft that the company has not scheduled any film on Halo, remains for fans waiting for new updates at least as far as the live-action series based on the popular video game series with Steven Spielberg as a producer. Today the site Latino Review reports that District 9 Director Neill Blomkamp is supposed to be the Director of the pilot, the same Director that would deal with the film version of Halo now cancelled.

Blomkamp has confessed that he was always attracted to the world and the universe of Halo and if, at the time, he was given full control over the production of the film, would have had no problem accepting. The Director admits to have its own interpretation of what must be a production company and it is not easy to match this interpretation with that of other 150 people involved in the same intellectual property.

We are waiting for official information from Microsoft about this live-action series that should be released directly on Xbox One.
