The Creative Director of Remedy Sam Lake showed for the first time during the VGX the earliest flashes of gameplay of Quantum Break , where we could see how the title is based on a hardware from third-person shooter with a dynamic cover system. The legend tells of an experiment related to time travel University "Riverboat" gone horribly wrong, showing several anomalies including several blocks, accelerations and decelerations. Jack Joyce and Beth Wilder, the heroes of Quantum Break , and Paul Serene, the main antagonist, are present during the experiment and will try to get the power to manipulate time.

Both Jack and Beth are playable from the start. Quantum Break is an action game with "intense cinematic action" mechanical and dynamic hedging.
