Thanks of the game trophies already knew that in Call of Duty: Ghosts will exhibit a mode called "Extinction", in which it seemed we'd fought aliens. Today through the pictures taken by someone in possession of the game we find out that this hypothesis corresponds to truth: how Extinction will be unlocked after completing the single player campaign, and we will clash with waves of alien xenomorphs and destroy one after another their hives.

It seems therefore to be a co-op mode similar to Zombie mode for CoD created by Treyarch. The images also show us the presence of an Auger: for some reason, our team will have to dig underground (perhaps the alien invasion comes from the depths of the Earth?), for which various waves of aliens are fought trying to avoid at the same time they destroy the Auger. Now the game is next week, so expect further clarification from Infinity Ward and Activision; in the meantime please see the images leaked .
