The subway Chronicles Package: Last Light is online
So our roadmap of DLC for Metro: Last Light finally reaches its conclusion with "Chronicles Pack". In this post we'll talk briefly about what you can expect to find inside the package, but also will reflect on the comments that we received on the previous DLC releases.
First of all, if you are in possession of the Season Pass, or you have bought one of the previous DLC, we want to thank you for your continued support in Metro. We hope that Chronicles both a Pack properly to take our and, from the comments, it seems that this content is what you've been waiting for. Contains three unreleased individual missions, each told from the perspective of one of the supporting characters of the cast.
Discover how Anna, the unwavering sniper of Polis, tried (and failed) to save Artyom Empire forces in the ruins of the botanical gardens. Put to the test the ability of unstoppable lethal Pavel and his naivete and will try to escape from the dungeons of Venice. And finally, you will drive Khan and Ulman through the forgotten and haunted tunnel of Polyanka, in a chilling supernatural tale that reveals a dark secret of the mysterious past of Khan ...
"Khan" is a favorite of the study: we tried to recreate that style and supernatural horror that was present in Metro 2033 and anyone who appreciated the "Ghosts" of the first game will feel right at home. When you hear the words "believe they are alive ..." well, we don't want to tell you more.
So why all the DLC were not missions based on the history? There are a couple of reasons, but the most important thing is that we wanted the main game was a complete experience and independent; We didn't want that players experience the feeling of having to buy the DLC to get the full story.
On the contrary, we have used the DLC as an opportunity to experiment with some new ideas, such as non-linear exploration of mission "Kshatriya" Faction Pack, the style of play which was based slightly on the puzzles of the nest of spiders or the simple score Tower combat Pack. We have paid special attention to your feedback: we know that Kshatriya and the nest of spiders were the most important and, as many people have appreciated the Tower packs, we understood that maybe was not what fans were expecting.
Fingers crossed, then, and let us hope that Chronicles the biggest answer Pack request: new story-based missions.
We also want to draw your attention to the "shotgun multicanna Bicycle": this is a new weapon that we have also included in the Developer pack, but that will be the Mission of Khan and Ulman. 4A Games discovered this weapon online after a fan had participated in a competition called "Designing an Underground-style weapon". The organisers joked saying that we should make it as DLC ... so we accepted their challenge and the rest is history! You can read more about how the dream became reality in the previous post of the blog on this site http://enterthemetro.com/.
And now, we are at the end for Metro: Last Light. We completed the Linux version (rather funny how, after the recent news, suddenly seems a smart move, right?) and we're embarking on some new exciting projects that we hope to share with you soon ...
We leave you with one last thought: Metro: Last Light takes part of "standard" Metro 2033 in which (SPOILER WARNING!) Artyom destroys Tetri. Many people are wondering what the "standard" for Last Light, without meter Dmitry 2035 as a reference ...
We know it. But I do not say. Yet
