During an interview with Kotaku's colleagues, Yves Guillemot Ubisoft said that there are as many as three titles related to Assassin's Creed in development at several studies and each of them requires at least two to three years: each team has its own ideas, can bear the risks in the introduction of some mechanical and thus valid to make qualitatively different chapters of the saga.

In addition to Assassin's Creed II: Black Flag is therefore very likely to be in developing its sequel and another title dedicated to portable console or at the market of smartphones and tablets. Or at least that's the most popular hypothesis.
