The day has arrived: the rumors, discussions, euphoria and panic rampant in recent months are going to be reset with the official announcement of the new Xbox. How to follow him? What to expect? Preparariamoci appropriately to the event.

When?

Tonight, May 21, from 19:00 to 20:00. Minute, minute less.

Where to watch it?

The event will be broadcast in streaming on the Xbox site than on the Xbox 360 dashboard, but the best place to follow him will be in our page dedicated to the event, accessible by clicking on the countdown in home. From here you can follow the video stream but also commenting in real time ads with all other users, using the handy chat window positioned below the video. You can use it as of now to start chiaccierare pending.

The video in our page is compatible with the smartphone/tablet Apple and Android (click on the Play button in the bottom left corner, not that Grand Central), while for owners of Windows Phone, Microsoft has made available an app downloadable from this page .

If you want to enjoy it on your TV via Xbox 360, you will need to download (or update if you already have) the Live Application Event Viewer: you can just access the Central home Xbox box, where there is the logo of the event, to download/update/start the application.

And if I can't follow the live?

The entire event registration will be available on both Xbox and on the web about an hour after the end of the presentation, so as to afford it or revise it again when you want to. And of course you will find on MondoXbox all the news from the event, so as not to miss anything!

What to expect?

The event tonight has the main purpose to reveal the console, then we will find out the name and appearance, the operating system and its services. You'll cover a lot of Xbox Live, and entertainment applications in General, but probably also to support small developers. We don't expect that to be revealed great details about the console's internal specifications, although surely something will be revealed, while as regards the games will probably be some of the most exclusive (likely also an appearance of Master Chief) as well as third-party titles such as already announced CoD: Ghosts and FIFA 14 . The spotlight will be focused also on the team that designed and built the console, and one of the reasons for which the event takes place at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond is the closeness to the entire project team.

Microsoft explained that this event will be only the first step of the complete revelation of the new Xbox, with the second step consisting of the E3 Conference June 10: that's where I'll cover in more detail, and certainly you'll want to reserve of MS surprises more or less large even for such an occasion.
