Microsoft focused its resources on a Cloud-platform Entertainment for Xbox

Microsoft today announced that it has sold to Ericsson's own business area Mediaroom, used by various providers to do streaming video. The House of Redmond explained that this sale falls within the broader objective of focusing on Xbox for creating " an entertainment service capable of providing all games and entertainment desired by consumers on consoles, phones, PC or tablet .

The use of the word "service" in respect of Xbox is extremely important: as the rebranding of the Zune music service in Xbox Music we had to guess, this reinforces the idea that, in Microsoft's Xbox plans will no longer be just the name of a console but will identify the Union of a number of services who live "in the cloud", which will range between multiple platforms and that the next Xbox will be an important partrequired to carry on the TV experience in gaming and enjoyment of movies/music/TV service.

And the fact that you do not speak only of EC gaming does understand this sentence: " it is not a mission that we can accomplish alone. We ally ourselves with with industry to create the next wave of innovation in gaming and entertainment. We alleeremo with content creators, studios, labels, networks, content aggregators, operators and distributors to ensure that this happens. "

From this we understand that gaming will be only part of what Microsoft wants to offer the next Xbox and Xbox service in General: the role that the games and the players that we can avrano though find out alone, according to the latest rumor, since 21 May. Impress everyone with the revelation of an incredible potential, or dissapoint players speaking primarily of movies, music and casual entertainment? We hope of course in the first hypothesis, and we look forward that-good or bad-all doubts are finally dispelled.
