The first information about Thief from Game Informer

After the leaked images yesterday for the new title of the series Thief, emerged today the first details on the game from the American magazine Game Informer. We look at what to expect from the game.

First of all, the magazine informs us, confirming what mentioned in the previous news, that the game is entitled simply Thief , will be developed by Eidos Montreal and will represent a verio and just reboot, or "reinvention" as says the development team, stealth series. The game is expected on the market in 2014 on PC and next-generation consoles.

The protagonist will once again Garrett that they will present to our eyes with a scar on his face that he wants to represent the effects of its past. See him act in an industrial metropolis and Gothic style, now adrift because upset by social tensions. The protagonist will notice immediately what the place is sinking into oblivion: the population was decimated by disease and famine that led people to starve. The game begins with Garrett reaches Stonemarket district that hiding in the back of a wagon while listening to a conversation about Theodore Eastwick, the most important architect of the city and very wealthy man. The guards continue to talk opining with gossip about the man in question and saying that assiduously frequeenta a brothel, the Casa dei Fiori. Regarding the way to lead the adventure, we will soon realize that Garrett will not be able to cope with armies of guards, even if developers do not exclude the possibility of making the protagonist also skillful in this aspect so as to fascinate gamers who prefer more frantic combat. Remain of primary importance the more stealthy approach. The guards, once alerted, try hiding places or call reinforcements and several enemies will have different features that we will learn to know as you progress in the game and by observing the movements.

The game mechanics are the same as the original series: we will play with the first-person view and we will move as a sort of Sam Fisher of the middle ages.
