Yet we do not know if and when Microsoft held an event to announce the new Xbox (even though the rumor point to the end of April as a possible date), which is already starting to circulate the first rumor on what will be announced at this event. The rumors come from English site CVG , which reports that it had received from two distinct sources of information that Microsoft will announce some sort of agreement with Electronic Arts for the new console.

Anyone following the event of Sony's announcement will have noticed that EA was not present, and this has led some to wonder if it could be a particular reason: according to sources of CVG the reason is that the Californian House, whose vice President is now the former BP of Microsoft Peter Moore, has entered into a strategic agreement with Redomond's House for the next-gen.

What this agreement might be we do not know yet: while there is no discussion of some kind of exclusive total agreement, the two companies may have reached an exclusive agreement for games or for their DLC, as Microsoft has already done with Activision for the Call of Duty series.
