2 k has announced officially that he had purchased all rights from the defunct THQ and being, therefore, became the Publisher of the Games WWE brand. WWE games are still entrusted to Japanese developer Yukes but starting next game we will see some new logos at the beginning of the startup screen of the new installment of the series. Update : the Publisher announced that WWE ' 14 is under development and is expected to be released later this year.

2 k's CEO David Ismailer said to be satisfied that the WWE has become part of the line-up of triple-A titles, "adding that the team will strive to make the brand funny as that of NBA 2 k franchise.
