This morning we talked about the event connected to Assassin's Creed to which Ubisoft has invited the press and which, we presume, will provide an opportunity to reveal a new episode of the series. It is now revealed an interesting rumor that would take the game set during World War II.

The rumor comes from a deduction of VGLeaks site, which explains that the event will be set within a historical building known to have been bombed by the German air force during World War II, and then it is possible that Ubisoft wanted to choose a location dramatically with the new title.

If so, it would probably be a controversial choice given that this is an extremely hackneyed ambiance in the world of video games, even if you would lend well to a history of assassinations, subterfuge and intrigue. It seems that some fans of the series have already imagined in the past as it might be a killer of World War II, so the idea most probably someone teases.

We have to wait to find out what will be announced at next week's event.
