After letting us know about the characteristics behind Disney Infinity , the Californian House has spread through Game Informer earlier information on play set of Cars, which is one of the worlds that we can play with other characters separately. As already known, the game disk contains a number of different worlds called play set , but only three will be accessible from the beginning: those of Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters & co. and the Incredibles. Others will be unlocked by buying in stores its characters/miniatures, such as those of Cars.

The play set of Cars will be unlocked by purchasing at least a thumbnail between Lightning McQueen, Mater, Holley Shiftwell and Francesco Bernoulli, and will give us access to a new story set in Radiator Springs after the events of 2 Cars, where it organized a full-fledged international race and tournament where players must also build the tracks which will host the event. Disney said in the past that each play set will give access to about 6-9 hours of game in Adventure mode, and we expect that this is also valid for play set of Cars.

Unlocking this play set, we receive new items to use in the game Box , including pieces of the track and buildings with pieces of scenery that can be crossed and eventually destroyed. The pieces destroyed will jump in the air causing debris along the path to which we must pay attention to subsequent rounds as these pieces can obstruct the passage.
