Having gained immense popularity with Skylanders Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants , it was expected that Activision announced a sequel. Under development at Vicarious Visions under the supervision of Toys for Bob, Skylanders: Swap Force will be available in stores in autumn. One of the novelties introduced will consist in a set of action figures that can be combined by swapping the upper and lower parts of the characters.

Developers refer to as many as 16 new figurines that will allow 256 combinations throughout. For fans of the previous episode, Activision declares that all action figures used in Skylanders Giants will be compatible. The figurines have a magnet at the height of the basin that will unite the legs to the trunk to create more power, giving life to all combinations mentioned before. For example if we want to match the speed of Magna Charge with the firepower of Countdown we simply assemble the components of both forming a single character. According to the developers, Skylanders: Swap Force will present improved graphics in all aspects and much more fluid animations.

The Swap characters Force 16 will have eight new abilities, can fly, dig, climb, jump, Teleport from place to place and move in stealth. The various features of the characters will allow an approach to different gameplay due to the possibility to explore several otherwise inaccessible locations. Even the previous characters will have different features and can perform actions before impossible.

The title also will show off the competitive or cooperative multiplayer mode but unfortunately still only locally.

The second episode of the series was a global phenomenon, we'll see how this new game shapes up in the eyes of players and if he manages to enter the heart princupalmente of children.
