Ubisoft: a pause for reflection for Prince of Persia

Ubisoft has stated that the series Prince of Persia is momentarily paused, until they decide how and this direction may evolve. In a recent interview with IGN, the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal Yannis Mallat said not to worry, because this is not the first time that the company has given a franchise to a well-deserved break.

"Managing a brand is a difficult thing, needs a lot of attention from people. I think it's fair to say that Prince of Persia at this time is a period of time. But we said the same thing in the past for other franchise and then suddenly a team blunt is poised to take over the project.

"I'm afraid not for fans of Prince of Persia , you will find something to entertain them in the future. Prince of Persia is part of Ubisoft's portfolio. It is normal to give a break to a franchise every now and then, we give them time to breathe every once in a while or just to rest. "

Mallat told then obliged to point out that Prince of Persia "is as important as any other Ubisoft franchise": as soon as there is something to show will be shown.

The last game in the series was developed by Ubisoft Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands was released in 2010. Last summer they made their appearance some images that seemed related to a new chapter but it is now found to belong to a new franchise in development: Osiris .
