Most have gone up for auction, ending up divided among several buyers. Let's see what was the fate of each one of them.
- Relic Entertainment (authors of Warhammer 40,000, Company of Heroes): acquired by SEGA
- THQ Montreal (authors of titles currently in development 1666 and Underdog): acquired by Ubisoft
- Evolve (the new title of Turtle Rock Studios, perpetrators of Left 4 Dead): acquired by Take-Two Interactive
- Volition (authors of Saints Row): acquired by Koch Media/Deep Silver
- Homefront (title of 2011, there will be a sequel): acquired by Crytek
- Metro (entire series, including the following: Last Lignt Meter): acquired by Koch Media/Deep Silver
- South Park (license which belongs to South Park: The Stick of Truth): acquired by Ubisoft
However, there are standard and developers whose fate is still unknown or surrounded by rumors. Here are those of whom you know something:
- Vigil Games Darksiders : no publisher has come forward with a proposal for this series. Platinum Games though, the Japanese authors of Bayonetta, said they were appealing for a purchase "cheap price".
- WWE : some rumor would like the upcoming purchase of wrestling by Yuke's by Take-Two Interactive. It seems that EA is also interested in the franchise.
All games under development that have found a new Publisher should not be delayed compared to the planned exit dates, unless the new owners do not decide otherwise. For our part we can only express our regret at the sad end of one of the editors that have characterized the world games of the last 20 years creating even very important series, hoping that in all this the employees of its studies can continue in their new homes without much impact on their professional lives.
