The gameplay of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct revealed in video, new info

New information on The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct:
- The game will have a system of choices and consequences similar to that seen in the adventure The Walking Dead of Telltale
- The finale will be equal for all, but depending on the choices made will change the path to get there
- Unlike the Telltale game, which is based on the comic, this is based on the TV series
- As already known, we will play as Daryl Dixon; the story takes place during the beginning of the zombie infection, when Rick Grimes is in a coma
- Daryl's brother, Merle, will be our companion on many adventures around while trying to survive the zombie invasion around Georgia
- Activision has chosen not to take inspiration from Call of Duty for the gameplay: the focus of the game is not the end in itself but survival. There will of course be an opportunity to shoot and use cutting or bludgeoning weapon but the development team is trying to replicate the same mechanisms seen on the TV series
- In the gameplay elements have been inserted as hide behind objects to examine the vicinity without being discovered, throwing glass bottles to distract the zombies and try not to run not to sweat, which would attract zombies because of smell
- In the game we will discover how Daryl came into possession of his crossbow
- A little at a time we will begin to meet new people who will join our group of survivors: you can send them on various missions while we take care of the main story. Before they depart on a mission, we can provide weapons and equipment to the person assigned to a mission in order to increase the chances of success, but there is no guarantee that this will return alive.
- Sometimes during the game we will be placed in front of baldock and we choose how to proceed. For example, to reach a goal we will have to decide whether to cross the Sheriff's building or a campsite, or when we'll find a bottleneck that blocking the road we will be able to decide whether to try to clear the way with the risk of confronting zombies or take a longer route that would consume much fuel (if fuel ends, the game ends and we are restarting from checkpoint)
- During the missions we can find new supplies, such as fuel for our vehicles
