Gearbox announced that the highly anticipated new DLC for Borderlands 2 , titled "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty", will arrive on the marketplace starting next October 16. The new expansion is set in a desert area called Oasis a slum inhabited by pirates, whose Queen is needless to say Captain Scarlett.

Randy Pitchford said the new DLC: "one can perceive the pirate theme despite the landscape is devoid of water. It's all dried up, looks more like Tatooine (Luke Skywalker's home planet) than the ocean. These bandits have truly embraced the pirate lifestyle, also there is a legend about a treasure that kicks off on this new adventure for the team ".

Among the new features that players will find there are new enemies as sand worms, a new vehicle that resembles a boat but it runs on the sand and new crystals to collect as a bargaining chip, called seraph crystals. Pitchford has kept us to explain that the new expansion was designed both for those who hasn't finished the game for those who have already reached the maximum level and is looking for new objects.

The add-on is the first of four that Gearbox has planned to release in the coming months. Every DLC will cost 800 MSP, if you haven't bought your season pass by 2400MP includes them all.

Sales of Borderlands 2 were great and the marketing department of Gearbox they hope are those of future altrettando expansions.
