REDWOOD CITY, Calif., September 10, 2012: Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) and Sony Pictures Entertainment today announced a promotional collaboration charities in North America unique in its kind, which will result in a minimum donation of $ 1 million to various charities dealing with veterans of the United States. Pending the release of the film by Columbia Pictures and Annapurna Pictures, Zero Dark Thirty, written by Mark Boal and directed by Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow, and EA game Medal of Honor Warfighter, players will be able to lend a hand to the real fighters with Map Pack Medal of Honor Warfighter the Hunt, which in North America is called Zero Dark Thirty instead. Map Pack Medal of Honor Warfighter the Hunt (Zero Dark Thirty) includes two new multiplayer maps inspired by real-world places. The first, set in one of the hottest areas of the planet, represents the black market weapons to Darra, Pakistan. Darra, the largest black market weapons in the world, is a tribal area founded on two principles: hospitality and revenge. The police have no access to the area, where tribal leaders is to make laws. The second represents Chitral, a remote and inhospitable area bordering Afghanistan to the West and China to the North, and ruled by tribes who do not allow admission even to the Pakistani army. "Medal of Honor Warfighter is inspired by real-world events: transactions and real-world warriors," said Peter Moore, Chief Operating Officer of EA. "We decided to partner with Sony Pictures Entertainment to help special operators community, honoring the sacrifices that they and their families have done for the country, and to inform people about the history of the largest Manhunt that the world has ever seen".
Medal of Honor Warfighter, written by American Tier 1 operators in a mission abroad, puts players in the shoes of the most skilled and trained soldiers, engaging them in missions with strong links with sensory terrorist threats in the real world.
