Microsoft has announced that from October 22 will arrive in stores and store the digital soundtrack to Halo 4 , created by the new composer Neil Davidge who has picked up the baton from Martin O'Donnell Bungie 's. In addition to the soundtrack by Neil Davidge, famous Djs like DJ Skee, Sander Van Doorn, Apocalyptica, Hundred Waters and others will contribute to the first Halo Remix Album as part of a Special Limited Edition of the game

Microsoft and 343 Industries along with 7 Hz Productions announced today that Halo 4 soundtrack, produced by composer Neil Davidge of Massive Attack, will be available online and in stores from October 22. The disc, which contains 15 tracks for over 75 minutes of great music, represents the first time a new composer takes over the musical themes of the game since the launch of the first Halo over 10 years ago.

The box-set of 2 discs of Halo 4 will be in a special numbered Edition, limited and will contain the Halo 4 Remix Album, produced by Neil Davidge along with 14 of the most famous electronic music artists, including DJ Skee, Sander Van Doorn, Gui Boratto, Caspa, Apocalyptica, Hundred Waters and others. The remix project is a prime example of how a video game can attract names so famous in the world of electronic music, leading to new levels a franchise which has sold over 43 million copies worldwide and generated revenue for 3 billion.

Taking advantage of the musical environment, Davidge and his production company involved famous producers like DJ Skee, Caspa, Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan, Gui Boratto, KOAN Sound, Matt Lange, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad, Alvin Risk, Bobby Tank, Maor Levi and Hundred Waters, irrespective of the cornerstones of rock like Apocalyptica and former guitarist of the Smashing Pumpkins ' James Ihato create a remix disc 14 tracks based on original soundtrack (examples available on Halo Waypoint ).

"I'm always a fan of Halo and when I heard the epic compositions by Neil for Halo 4 I was really impressed," said DJ Skee. "When I had the opportunity to remix and add my style, I wanted to create something epic but, at the same time, linked to the original composition and Halo 4".
