Dreamworks announced officially to be working on a film completely dedicated to Need for Speed , timeless Electronic Arts video game series that is going to make the big leap towards the theatres by the end of 2014. As regards implementation, much of the work was done by brothers George and John Gatins, who developed the original story with the second which is devoted mainly to the script. This last is based on 360 degrees series, and not on a specific chapter of those released in recent years.

" I'm excited at the prospect of being able to return to work with John and George Gatins and my EA partners and to realize a compelling script that looks really done on purpose to build on a film ," said Steven Spielberg , President of Dreamworks. " This is really a big chunk in the business of DreamWorks and we are grateful to Frank Gibeau, Pat O'Brien, Kevin Maher, John and George in choosing us for its realization ," concluded the famous Director and producer.
