UBISOFT ® ANNOUNCES WATCH DOGS ™
MILAN, June 5, 2012 — At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft has unveiled a new intellectual property Watch Dogs ™, an action-adventure game set in a world freely browsable.
Watch Dogs ™ is currently in development at Ubisoft's Montreal studio, by a team consisting of some of the major industry veterans, authors of such titles as Assassin's Creed ® , Rainbow 6 ® and Far Cry ™. Watch Dogs ™ combines cutting-edge technology with a sophisticated design, where players must use every means at its disposal to eliminate a corrupt system.
In Watch Dogs â„¢, players enter into the dangerous world of Aiden Pearce, a new protagonist far from the canons of the hero, whose ability to penetrate any online system could be his most powerful weapon. Whether to unleash an accident involving more than 30 cars, by manipulating lights monitoring systems to trap an enemy during a shootout in the city centre, or enter into the circuit of the city's security cameras to access the personal information of anyone, Pearce is able to manipulate and control almost every element of the world around him.
"Watch Dogs â„¢ goes beyond the limits of the current open-world titles, offering players the chance to check out an entire city," said Jonathan Morin, Creative Director at Ubisoft. "In the game any element connected to the city's central operating system, becomes a weapon. Surpassing all limits, we will offer players an action level of access to information and never appeared before in a video game ".
