343 Industries has declared by Frank O'Connor to Spartan expectations Ops Halo 4 , or cooperative missions which will replace intermittent shooting introduced with Halo 3: ODST, there will be a release plan for "several years", with a well-defined story that has a beginning and an end already decided. This means that these missions, which will remind you of a story episodes aside, as if it were a TV series, there will be company for a long time by extending the duration and the freshness of the title.

O'Connor has also specified that the first story arc, a sort of "first season" will be free to all purchasers of the game, and that the achievement of more seasons will however by the success of this first season.
