As expected, CD Projekt has just announced its new live RPG: Cyberpunk , videogame version of the famous role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020 paper created by Mike Pondsmith. Who has lived through the era of the GDR "pen and paper" in the years 80 and 90, it will undoubtedly be the most well known science fiction alternative to Dungeons & Dragons, and was set in a dark future, dominated by technology and by cybernetic implants.

The title CD Projekt is developed by a team of veterans from The Witcher 1 and 2 only, and will not be set in the same universe of the original game, but also inherits the set of rules. Developers claim that it is a title designed for mature adult players, with a non-linear storyline and a wide selection of classes as well as an extensive arsenal of weapons and technological toys. The aim is to set a new standard in the field of science fiction RPG (and with a competitor like Mass Effect, will surely be a big undertaking).

For now, have not been announced, but saw that CD Projekt has already brought its own engine on Xbox 360, is likely to arrive on the Microsoft console. We look forward to more information that will hopefully arrive by the upcoming E3.
