The America that we will see Assassin's Creed III

During an interview with OPM UK, writer of Assassin's Creed III Matt Turner explained that the America that we will find in the game will be a country very different from what we would expect to see it: as part of its commitment to maintain the correct historical accuracy, Ubsoft Montreal wants to keep distance from pattriotismo stars and stripes which sits practically in all American productions.

First of all it is not us but again England's Turner thus explained: " the truth is that America did not exist until 1783, when the game ends ."

Before this date, the old world saw America as a colony and the battles you fought were part of some sort of civil war in a foreign land. The protagonist of Assassin's Creed III , Connor, does not belong to any of the factions of the revolution, only to face the Templars, sworn enemies of the killers, all calls some historical parallels with the native Americans.  "This is not American or British English, and this is something on which we want to be very clear."

"It is not the usual American freedom and community,"- continues explicitly talking about the history of settlers of America and hinting at the theme of slavery- "is one thing of which we are aware, nearly all had slaves, the first groups who fought for the emancipation did not have appeared until 1787".

"It was very soon after the end of the history of our game that slavery was put on duscussione. We believe that this topic merits some attention because it is a very serious thing and deserves to be treated with the utmost respect. We do not want to flee by not showing it.

Turner has finished explaining that this is not the main focus of the game: "we're documenting what was there and what was at that time but we want to be careful with what the world has always wanted to cover that period of history. This is an important topic. We are not afraid to show what was there but we certainly do not want to make it the centerpiece of our game. "

It therefore seems that Ubisoft wants to deal with the story of Assassin's Creed III with a very European sensibility, looking good by printing and patriottismi Americans embrace, which fans feared up to this point. It is definitely a reassuring, news that makes us understand how the historical accuracy-even within a work of fiction like this-is in the heart of the developers. The game is expected for October 31, and walking should be released the first movie showing the gameplay.
