Microsoft has just announced the production of a live web series dedicated to Halo 4 that will be part of the promotional campaign for the launch of the game. The series, now called Forward Unto Dawn , will air first on Halo Waypoint and then on Machinima.com channels (including Youtube then) splitting in 5 episodes of about 15 minutes each and will focus on a cadet of the UNSC who, inspired by Master Chief arruolerà in the army, becoming a Leader on board the UNSC Infinity.

Microsoft has stated that this is the Live Action project more expensive than those made so far as Halo: Landfall; the producers also want to achieve a " large-scale link " between the history of the Halo Universe and the game itself and that surely many fan-made short film developing helped to take this decision.
