Warner confirms the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition cover
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released an extended version of the award-winning game of 2011
Milan, January 9, 2012 -Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition , a version of the award-winning content packed video game Mortal Kombat 2011. The 2011 edition of the legendary fighting game series has sold over three million copies worldwide and was recently named the Fighting Game of the Year during the Spike TV's Video Game Awards 2011.
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition includes the game with all DLC previously published in 2011 in addition to a digital download of the album Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warrior with a bonus track and the Mortal Kombat film of 1995 on the PlayStation ® Store or Xbox Live Zune. The DLC includes fan favorite fighters as Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, without forgetting the Lord of nightmares, Freddy Krueger. The game also offers 15 classic skins and three classic October (Scorpion, sub-zero and Reptile).
Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors is a collection of electronic music inspired by the game and produced by JFK (of the DJ/production duo MSTRKRFT and Death From Above 1979).
Developed by NetherRealm Studios and directed by co-creator and Creative Director of Mortal Kombat And Boon, the game will be available from March 2 on the PlayStation ® 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
The Mortal Kombat launch marked the triumphant return by more mature game with lots of amazing October and x-ray moves. Returning to the classic 2D fighting mode, this last incarnation of the franchise includes several new modes such as the Tag Team, the Challenge Tower and a deep Story Mode.
