In an interview with Game Developer Magazine, Hao Chen, senior graphics engineer in Bungie, gave some more information on the graphics engine that move the new project between Activision and software house that until a few years ago it was occupied by the Halo universe. The development team, despite having already their talents in the graphic field, is seeking in fact new people who can carry out their work to the best technical since the title will be released on multiple platforms.

Although Chen States that new console are not yet on the horizon, the new graphics engine that Bungie is planning will be ready for the next-gen and at the same time sfruttarà the current console: this is the case of the Xbox 360 CPU which revealed, was decidedly not exploited for the previous Halo because of multi-threading structure of the graphical engine.

For this reason it was decided to reconstruct the basic structure and the development team's ambition is to be effective in any single platform. With this new engine there will also be a lot more collaboration between real developers and the artist: the latter will have greater control over how it will be the appearance of the game thanks to new tools offered by technical sector.
