The financial analysis firm NPD has released sales data hardware and software of the US market for the month of November 2011. This is the most important month for the Christmas period in terms of sales, and Xbox 360 has proved once again to have the numbers to literally beat the competition. The console Microsoft has indeed sold 1.7 million units, about twice what has been obtained from competing platforms.

Even on software we find a few surprises and many confirmations, with CoD: Modern Warfare 3 that makes the lion's share with as many as 9 million copies sold in the USA, followed in order by TES v: Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and AC: Revelations. Below is the complete rankings.
